Today’s Spotlight is on Senior Defensive Back, Carter Bowman.  Carter, who wears Number 7 for the Rebels, started playing football his Sophomore year at FHS as a safety.  He also plays basketball for the Rebels.  His favorite football memory is “the first home victory of my Junior year when we beat Riverdale.”  Carter plans on attending the University of Tennessee when he graduates and says that Eric Berry is his favorite player.  His favorite motivational saying is “They don’t think it be like it is, but it do.” Oscar Gamble – and his favorite scripture is Psalm 3:6 – “I will not be afraid of many thousands of people, that have set themselves against me all around.”

Here are what his parents, Greg and Kathy want Carter to know:  Wow – Carter, we blinked our eyes and now you are a Senior.  We remember the day of your Freshman year when you came home and told us that you attended the football meeting.  We were shocked!  Seeing how happy you are on that field, we know you made a great decision.  Whatever God puts in your heart, go with it.  We are so proud of the strong and dedicated young man you have become.  Stay positive, confident, and focused.  We are looking forward to cheering you on during our final year of football and basketball.  We love you!
