Senior Profile – #11, Matthew Burns

Today’s Senior Spotlight is on #11, Matthew Burns.  Matthew started playing football for the Franklin Cowboys, playing Quarterback.  He now plays Running Back and Defensive Back for the Rebels.  Matthew’s favorite team is the UT Vols and his favorite player is Marshawn Lynch.  When asked what his favorite FHS Football memory is, Matthew says that it was “rushing for 143 years in the playoffs against Houston, junior year.”

His favorite motivational quote is: “In the end, it’s not going to matter how many mistakes you make, but how you used them to make you stronger.”  Matthew is still deciding what he wants to do after graduation and is exploring college opportunities.

Here is what his parents, Gary and Linda, want Matthew to know:  “We are proud of you and the young man you are becoming.  You have the heart of a Champion. We love you and believe you can accomplish all you desire.”

We have loved watching Matthew through the years and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes for the remainder of this season.
