I beg your pardon...
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING!
Franklin's Rebels showed their ability to score on offense, defense, and special teams in Friday's victory at Oakland. Any way you slice it, 40 - 14 is a pretty decisive win and frankly, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING!
Mac Hibbett had a game that all defensive backs dream about with 2 interceptions off of the Oakland quarterback and better yet, running both pics back for touchdowns.
John Hewitt ran a punt back for a 53-yard touchdown as well as recieving a pass from Michael Mikrut for a 33-yard touchdown.
To top it off, Derrian Waters scored on a 24-yard run and D'Trayco Starnes barreled over the goal line for a 5-yard touchdown run.
YES!!! That is a BEAUTIFUL WIN and bottom line, that's 4 wins in 4 games.
By the way, there is a very good article in the Tennessean.com about the Oakland game. Thank you, Mr. Kreager, for your objective writing.
Mac Hibbett takes his first of two touchdowns in for the evening
Steven Hotard and Brooks Plummer will have syrup with that pancake.
Derrian Waters breaks through the line off blocks by Daniel Thomson (70) and Tim Leach (77)
Dawson Bryant goes up high for a pass as D'Trayco Starnes (32) sets for block
Jordan Pritchett rounds the corner with a slew of blockers in Todd Campbell (80), Bubba Lane (79), Tim Leach (77), and James Sanderfield (47).
GIVE HIM 6!
